At Arc Trips, we believe travel should be accessible, safe, and enriching for everyone. Our platform connects guests with hosts worldwide, creating a global community built on trust, respect, and shared experiences. These guidelines outline our expectations for all community members to ensure positive interactions and memorable journeys.

Inclusivity & Respect

Arc Trips is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. We have zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or hate speech of any kind.

Our Anti-Discrimination Policy

We prohibit unfair treatment based on personal characteristics including but not limited to:

  • Race, ethnicity, or national origin

  • Religion or philosophical beliefs

  • Political views or affiliations

  • Gender, gender identity, or gender expression

  • Sexual orientation

  • Age or generation

  • Disability status or health conditions

  • Marital, family, or parental status

For Providers

While we respect that providers may have preferences regarding their properties, these cannot be based on discriminatory grounds. Legitimate reasons for declining bookings might include:

  • Space limitations for the number of guests

  • Safety concerns related to specific amenities (pools, staircases, etc.)

  • Property-specific policies that apply universally to all guests

When declining a booking, hosts should provide clear, non-discriminatory explanations and, when possible, offer alternatives to help guests find suitable accommodations.

Age Restrictions

Providers may implement reasonable minimum age requirements for guests as long as:

  • The policy is consistently applied to all potential guests

  • The restriction is clearly stated in the property listing

  • The policy complies with local laws and regulations

Safety Standards

Physical Safety

Everyone in the Arc Trips community has the right to feel physically safe. We strictly prohibit:

  • Physical altercations or threats

  • Property damage or vandalism

  • Intimidation or coercion

  • Sexual harassment or misconduct

  • Unwanted physical contact of any kind

  • Exploitation of vulnerable individuals, especially minors

  • Human rights violations including trafficking, forced labor, or other forms of exploitation

Property Safety

Providers on Arc Trips have a responsibility to provide safe accommodations. This includes:

  • Regular maintenance and prompt repairs

  • Functional safety equipment (smoke detectors, carbon monoxide alarms, fire extinguishers)

  • Clear disclosure of potential hazards

  • Unobstructed emergency exits

  • Proper storage of hazardous materials

  • Well-maintained amenities that meet safety standards

  • Clean food preparation areas and safe drinking water

Animal Welfare

Arc Trips values the ethical treatment of animals. Listings featuring animals must:

  • Ensure humane living conditions

  • Comply with local animal welfare laws

  • Provide appropriate veterinary care

  • Not feature endangered species or wildlife exploitation

  • For animal attractions, maintain certification from recognized animal welfare organizations

Privacy & Personal Boundaries

Physical Privacy

Respecting personal space is essential for positive experiences on Arc Trips:

  • Guest Privacy Zones: Areas exclusively reserved for guests, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and any space specifically rented by the guest

  • Host Privacy Areas: Spaces where hosts maintain exclusive access, clearly communicated to guests

  • House Rules: Hosts should establish and share clear guidelines about shared and private spaces

Digital Privacy & Data Protection

All community members must respect digital privacy:

  • Personal information shared through Arc Trips should be used only for booking-related purposes

  • Hosts must securely store guest information and dispose of it properly after the necessary retention period

  • Sharing personal data about others without consent violates our guidelines

Surveillance & Security Devices

If hosts use security cameras or monitoring devices:

  • All devices must comply with local privacy laws

  • Devices can only be placed in common areas (entrances, hallways, driveways)

  • No surveillance devices are permitted in private areas where guests expect privacy

  • All devices must be disclosed in the property listing before booking

  • Hidden or undisclosed recording devices are strictly prohibited

Enforcement & Reporting

Arc Trips takes violations of these guidelines seriously. If you experience or witness behavior that contradicts these standards:

  1. Use the in-app reporting feature

  2. Provide specific details about the incident

  3. Include any relevant evidence or documentation

  4. Our team will investigate promptly

Depending on the severity and circumstances, violations may result in:

  • Warnings

  • Temporary suspension

  • Permanent removal from the platform

  • Referral to appropriate authorities when necessary
