How We Work

Who We Are: Arc Trips Ltd. is the company behind the platform you're using to book accommodations. We're registered in [insert address] (Business ID: [insert]; Tax ID: [insert]).

Our Service: We provide a digital marketplace where you can compare and book from a wide selection of accommodations. When you make a reservation through our platform, you're entering into a contract with the accommodation provider - we facilitate this connection but aren't responsible for the actual stay experience.

Information Accuracy: We update our listings based on information providers share with us. While we strive for real-time accuracy, updates to descriptions, amenities, and facilities may take several hours to reflect on our platform.

Our Partners

We work exclusively with accommodations that have signed partnership agreements with Arc Trips. These providers may also offer their services through other channels.

Our platform displays the total number of accommodations available worldwide, and search results are tailored to show options that best match your specific requirements.

Revenue Model

Arc Trips doesn't buy or resell accommodation services. Instead, after you complete your stay, the accommodation provider pays us a commission for connecting you with them.

Some search results may display a "Promoted" badge, indicating that the provider has invested in premium placement within our search results through our "Visibility Boost Program."

Recommendation Engine

Our platform uses smart recommendation systems to help you discover accommodations you'll love. These systems appear throughout the site, including:

  • Popular Destinations: Locations trending among guests with search patterns similar to yours

  • Highly-Rated Properties: Accommodations consistently receiving exceptional guest reviews

  • Suggested Stays: Properties that might interest you based on browsing behavior of similar guests

Default Ranking System: When you see search results, they're initially sorted by "Best Matches" which considers multiple factors:

  • Click-through popularity (how many users view the detailed listing)

  • Booking frequency (how often the property is reserved)

  • Completion rate (confirmed bookings minus cancellations)

These metrics depend on various elements including review scores, availability, policies, pricing, photo quality, and other features.

A property's position can also be influenced by:

  • Commission structure

  • Payment processing speed

  • Membership in our loyalty programs

  • Your interaction history with our platform

You can choose alternative sorting methods:

  • Homes first

  • Price (lowest first)

  • Member discounts

  • Property rating (high to low/low to high)

  • Top reviewed

  • Distance from landmarks

  • Best value

Personalized Recommendations: Some of our recommendation systems are tailored to your personal preferences based on your interactions with Arc Trips. If you're in a region with applicable privacy laws, you can manage personalization settings through:

  • Desktop/mobile site: "Manage personalization preferences" in the footer

  • App: "Manage personalization preferences" in the settings menu

Reviews

We use a 1-10 scoring system for reviews. The overall score represents the average of all received reviews. Additionally, guests can provide sub-scores for specific aspects like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and amenities.

You can review any accommodation you booked through our platform if you completed your stay or at least checked in. To modify a submitted review, contact our Customer Support team.

We employ both human moderators and automated systems to detect and remove fraudulent reviews. If you notice anything suspicious, please report it to our Customer Support team.

We aim to publish all genuine consumer reviews, whether positive or negative, as long as they comply with our Content Guidelines.

To ensure relevance, we typically accept reviews submitted within 3 months of checkout and may stop displaying reviews after 36 months or if the property changes ownership.

Accommodation providers can respond to reviews if they wish.

When viewing multiple reviews, the most recent ones appear first by default, with some consideration for language and content factors. You can sort reviews by:

  • Newest first

  • Oldest first

  • Highest scores

  • Lowest scores

Some listings may include external review scores from other trusted travel platforms, which we clearly identify.

Review translations are powered by third-party translation services. We don't guarantee the accuracy of these translations.

Pricing

Rates on our platform are established by accommodation providers. Arc Trips may occasionally fund special offers or loyalty benefits independently.

When you book, you agree to pay for the accommodation and any applicable extras, charges, or taxes. The price description indicates whether taxes and fees are included or excluded, with additional details available during the booking process.

Our platform describes amenities and facilities based on information from providers, including any associated costs.

Payment Processing

There are three possible payment methods for your booking:

  1. Pay at the property: The accommodation provider processes your payment directly upon arrival

  2. Pre-payment through provider: We securely forward your payment details to the accommodation provider who processes the payment

  3. Pre-payment through Arc Trips: We handle the payment processing and ensure the accommodation provider receives their payment

Cancellation policies, no-show fees, and refund procedures are determined by each accommodation provider's terms.

Property Classifications

We ask all service providers to indicate whether they operate as "professional" or "private" as defined by applicable regulations.

Our platform displays this information for guests in regions where consumer protection laws require this disclosure. This classification has no bearing on tax matters, including VAT or other indirect taxes.

Rating Systems

Property Ratings: Star ratings (1-5 stars) are assigned either by the accommodation providers themselves or by independent regulatory bodies based on standardized criteria for facilities, service quality, and amenities. Arc Trips doesn't create these ratings but will verify them if discrepancies are reported.

Review Scores: Generated by guest feedback on a scale of 1-10 (represented visually as a colored square with the score).

Quality Ratings: Assigned by Arc Trips (1-5 squares) based on over 400 attributes across five categories:

  • Facilities/amenities/services

  • Property configuration (size, room count, occupancy)

  • Photo quality and quantity

  • Review performance (overall scores and key subscores)

  • Booking history and performance metrics

Assistance & Support

If you have questions or encounter issues, contact us through the app or Help Center. We prioritize urgent cases and handle concerns as quickly as possible.

To help us assist you efficiently, please provide:

  • Your reservation confirmation number

  • Your Arc Trips account ID

  • Contact information

  • A description of the issue and desired resolution

  • Any supporting documentation (receipts, photos, communications)

Price Discrepancies: In rare cases of obvious pricing errors, we may need to cancel and refund bookings made before the error could be corrected.

Partner Removal: We reserve the right to remove accommodation providers who breach contractual obligations or misrepresent their properties.

Overbooking Protection

After confirming your reservation, accommodation providers must honor it. If a provider is overbooked, they must find a solution promptly, following our guidelines.

If they can't accommodate you or offer a suitable alternative:

  • You can cancel without penalty and receive a full refund

  • We'll help you find a similar alternative at comparable price and quality

  • If the alternative costs more, we'll cover the difference when you submit your invoice

For refunds:

  • If the provider handled your payment, we'll ensure they process your refund quickly
